Restricted Substances and Chemical Management Policy

We are committed to working with our clients and suppliers to ensure the products we sell are safe and healthy for our customers and the environment. Accordingly, the Alpaka Deri adopts this Chemical Management Policy and is committed to:

• Contacts chemical suppliers and checks ZDHC MRSL 3.1 compliance
• After the chemicalrisk analysis, it replaces high-risk chemicals with alternative chemicals, if possible.
• Providestraining to all employeesonthe use and handling of chemicalsperiodically.
• Development and compliance to the criteriaregarding the selectionof chemicals, suppliers, production recipesand input materials based on the lifecyle of chemicals withinthe facility,
• Safe storage,handling and usage of chemical,
• Periodical or as and when required testing of the half-processed and/or finished leather in ISO17025 certified or clientnominated laboratories.
• Avaibilityand implementation of relevant sources,
• Periodicaland adequate traning on the use of chemicals to all employees,
• Establishment of an effective reviewing mechanism to ensure proper implementation and continual improvement within the facility.
• All elements of the chemical management system outlined above, as well as meeting the requirements of LWG and ZDHC.
